The teams generally include a commissioner and assistant commissioners. There are also medical examiners who deal with complaints against physicians.<\/p>\n<p>They are responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receiving the complaint<\/li>\n<li>Conducting an investigation to determine whether the complaint is founded<\/li>\n<li>Issuing conclusions based on the results of the investigation<\/li>\n<li>Making recommendations if they feel that measures can be put in place to improve the situation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This applies to all complaints about services at an <a href=\"https:\/\/caapca.ca\/en\/2018\/03\/01\/the-service-quality-and-complaints-commissioner\/\">institution<\/a>, including affliated facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioners have a duty of impartiality. They report directly to the board of directors of the institution. Par exemple, un \u00e9tablissement peut regrouper plusieurs h\u00f4pitaux. Cependant, ce n\u2019est pas toujours facile de savoir \u00e0 quel \u00e9tablissement appartient certaines installations. Il est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement compos\u00e9 d\u2019une ou d\u2019un commissaire et de commissaires adjoints.
